Fridtjof den frøkne Traditional Geocache
Flashy: It is clear that this cache has disappeared. The travel required for me to maintain/replace it has become too much for me. Therefore I feel that I have to archive it. This is too good a site not to have a cache and I am sure someone will place a new cache here soon. I am happy for everyone who has found my cache.

Fridtjof den frøkne (dauntless or intrepid) is a large statue (10.5 meters) standing on a base (12 meters). It can be seen from quite a distance, not to mention, from the ferrys which land in Vangsnes. It was built and paid for by Keiser Wilhelm II from Germany and placed in Vangsnes in 1913,
It is possible to drive up to Fridtjof’s park. It is also a nice walk (marked) up from the ferry landing.
The cache is covered by black tape which makes it hard to see in its hiding place. You will have to feel for it. It is not necessary to move any stones.
