While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Otta stasjon er en jernbanestasjon på Dovrebanen. Stasjonen ligger i Otta i Sel kommune og ble åpnet 29. oktober 1896 da Dovrebanen ble forlenget fra Sel til Otta. Banen ble fra da av benevnt Eidsvold-Ottabanen (EOB) til den ble forlenget videre til Dombås.
Ved Otta stasjon var det store lokomotivstaller. Dengang Dovrebanen ble drevet med damplokomotiv måtte disse byttes ved Otta, de trengte vedlikehold etter 25–30 mil fra Oslo eller Trondheim. Tilsvarende var det ved Ål stasjon på Bergensbanen. Stasjonen ligger 288 meter over havet og fra Otta stasjon til Oslo S er det 297,24 km.
Otta stasjon har egen turistinformasjon og fungerer som en felles skysstasjon for både tog, buss og taxi.
1988 Fjernstyrt stasjon betjent for ekspedering av reisende og gods.

ENGLISH
 Otta Station is a railway station on the Mountain Railway. The station is located in Otta in Sel municipality 
 Opened 29 October 1896 when the Dovre Railway was extended from seals to Otta. The line was from then on 
 named Eidsvold Otta-Line (EOB) until it was extended further to Dombås. 
 The Otta was the great locomotive stables. At that time Dovrebanen was driven by 
 steam locomotive had to be replaced by these Otta, they needed maintenance for 25-30 mil from Oslo 
 or Trondheim. Similarly, there were at Ål Station on the Bergen Line. The station is located 288 
 meters above sea level and from the Otta to Oslo S is 297.24 km. 
 Otta has its own tourist information and serves as a common coaching for both trains, 
 bus and taxi. 
 1988 Remote station catering for the dispatch of travelers and goods.
