Geocache Description:

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to celebrate Christmas in the heat of the summer like they do in Australia? Join us for Xmas eve dinner on July 24th at our house. Our dining room encompasses the entire upper floor of our house and seats more than 100 guests.

OK, not really. Stop North 400 has agreed to help us with the celebration and have reserved the entire upper floor for our group. They are preparing a special Xmas buffet for us featuring roasted turkey with dressing and many other items. It is priced to be family friendly. Send us an email if you would like more information regarding the menu. If you are not interested in the buffet you can take advantage of their value market fare. Stop North 400 is also providing us with door prizes.

Please indicate the number in party to ensure we have sufficient seating for everyone who is interested in joining us.

To participate in the secret Santa gift exchange each person in your party should bring a wrapped trading item. Any standard geocaching trade is acceptable including travel bugs and geocoins. Or take this opportunity to regift. The gift must be wrapped in Christmas paper, newspaper, white paper or coloured paper. How they are wrapped is not important but they must be wrapped. Please come dressed for Christmas dinner by wearing your geocaching best. Gentlemen, ties are optional.

We have invited Santa Claus to join us and he said that as it snows in Australia in July that he will be in Oz but will try to attend our party

Expect to meet fellow geocachers and talk caching. There are more than 20 geocaches hidden within 5 kilometers and caching before and after dinner is encouraged.

After Santa leaves we may hold a geocaching workshop. If you are interested in participating in a workshop please mention in your Will Attend log as well as the number in your party mention what topic you would be interested in discussing. Possible topic suggestions are Placing a cache to make it unforgettable, Finding sneaky caches, Solving puzzle cache techniques and Paperless geocaching or your suggested topic.

As of July 21st, 58 big kids and 11 younger kids. We still have lots of space so log your Will Attend soon.
