Geocache Description:

This cache was placed at the coaxing of 76-CJ7, due to their efforts exercised while placing "The Merit Badge Challenge" GC19R3J.

This badge looks pretty challenging... (visit link)

We are including a WP for the "Frog Pond" which you should have to walk right by to get to the cache.

We chose this badge for several reasons.
1) We discovered the "Frog Pond" while searching for the now archived Quail Hill Quicky GCP4H0 and it has always provided great entertainment for the junior stars. Since that cache is gone, this area can now support a "theme" cache.
2) We don't very often see much wildlife when we are out caching (maybe because we are too noisy) but we've encountered many a snake and frog.

Couple quick stories:
1) We actually placed this cache last week but forgot to drop off a geocoin that we've been carrying around for months until we got around to placing this cache. So we had to come back today. Had to check the coords too, since we only had 46 ft. accuracy when we took the original reading. We were well within the accuracy today so we're going with what we got last week. Satellites are not good here but the hint should help.
2)Today when we got down to the rail trail from the parking coords, the junior stars found a snake in the process of devouring a frog for breakfast. How much more appropriate a story to go with this cache. Only wish we had captured it with the camera.
3) In a past visit here we helped a turtle cross the road.

It would be nice to have a report from the "Frog Pond" as part of your log.

We had a report of some family un-friendly activity near GZ, so we added a "not recommended at night" attribute. Feel free to log any suspicious activity or evidence and if it becomes excessive we may need to relocate this one.

ENJOY!
