Seeing that their cache had been discovered, and their realm visited by so many outlanders, the Forest Dwellers joined forces with the Trappers Lake people. Together they amassed a new treasure. The two clans journeyed out of the Elfin Woods to an uninhabited region known as The Shingle River Valley. No one inhabits this region due to the flying bloodsucking beasts that dwell here! You should not enter into this place without bringing your full arsenal of weaponry and armor. Nor is this a fitting quest for the young ones to partake in. This area is very close to what is left of an early 19th century village. Nothing remains of this early village except a sign noting its’ early existence. This is where you will find the key you need to begin your quest. You will be looking for a container here which holds your key. N41*40.743 by W070*59.255.
Armed with the tools and the knowledge you have gained by searching for the previous caches in the Elfin woods, and following the instructions thus far, you must solve the following code compiled by the two combined clans in order to continue further.

This is the third cache of the series and it is not possible to find this one without first visiting the other two. At least I don’t think it is, but I am always amazed at the skill and determination displayed by geocachers on a quest.
