Geocache Description:

Large clear container with minor bushwacking approach. Off a fairly well traveled, non-major trail. If it has rained or the snow is melting, it will be a muddy approach. Kid friendly but not ideal for strollers.



NOTE FROM THE FOREST PRESERVE: Although this cache was part of the 2015 Geocache Passport program, The Geocache Passport Program is complete as there are no more coins available. If you have questions or concerns regarding the program please email them to geocache@dupageforest.org.

The Mayslake Forest Preserve is a great spot in Eastern DuPage County. I've given bike access and two car parking options as waypoints below. (Including @ the adjacent dog park.) Easy access to the preserve by bike. Make a day of it and visit historic Mayslake Mansion. (http://www.dupageforest.com/preserves/mayslake.html)

Also a terrific starting point for a bike ride on the extensive Oak Brook Bike Path OB Bikepath Map

To keep the cache Forest Preserve Approved, please be aware of the following:

1. This Geocache is placed on DuPage County Forest Preserve property with permission.

2. Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Food items, inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials.

3. DuPage County Forest Preserve hours are 1 hour after sunrise until 1 hour after sunset. Preserve users must not be in the preserves after hours.

4. It is the visitor’s responsibility to be aware of the policies and rules pertaining to this preserve. For more information on preserve rules, see the information kiosk in the parking lot of the preserve or contact Visitor Services at (630) 933-7248.

5. All Statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County are applicable.
