In these
days of Plasma and LCD TV's and movies delivered over the World
Wide Web, it's all too easy to forget where it all started. Recent
archaeological discoveries have shed new light on those early days
when primitive tribes worshipped the tube. Cults formed and spread,
guided by the flickering glow of the cathode ray. One such cult's
religious symbols have been uncovered recently by a group working
in a secret location in Brisbane's inner south.
No one is
sure what they mean. But they do provide a glimpse into the
workings of society in an age when television was still regarded as
a novelty.
Some have
theorised that the symbols point to a sacred place. A mythical
finish line where a prize awaits. If so then the first to solve the
mystery may well be rich beyond their most fleeting
dreams.
