The cache is a one gallon tupperware container with a opening size on 4 inches.
The origional contents of the cache are:
- 1 small American Flag
- 1 compass
- 1 poncho
- 1 emergency blanket
- 1 can of insect repellent
- A four pack of AA batteries
- 2 packs of waterproof matches
- 2 gold dollar coins
- A Swiss Army Knife from the At The Junction cache in Dupont Forest
Please replace anything taken from the cache with something of approximate equal value.
The parking coordinates are N 35° 07.452', W 082° 34.245'. It's an approximate 2 mile strenuous hike to the cache with approximate 1200 feet of elevation gain, but the view of Jones Gap from the overlook N 35° 07.147', W 082° 34.080' near the cache is well worth the hike. According to the authors of Hiking South Carolina this is the best view in SC, but it would be better if it wasn't for the powerlines. The cache is located such that sensitive vegetation will not be damaged. If you visit this cache during cold weather please be careful of the ice you may encounter.
