How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Inspired by GCVTT4 in Indiana. Mrs. PBZ found this one last year and thought it was a pretty cool concept.

Yep, we are blatantly stealing someone else's idea, who stole someone else's idea. So, there you have it. Your goal is simple, it's all in the name. Do NOT find this cache. Well, yeah, you should find it but we are challenging you NOT to find it. We want to see how addicted you all are to geocaching. So, to claim a find on this one, you may post a 75-word essay on how you are NOT hooked on geocaching. Are you seeing a recurring theme with the word NOT yet? Haha :) Along with your essay, you may also post a pic of your most memorable geocaching experience to date so you can share your experience with others. Be creative!!!

Just to note -
*This cache is not that creative.
*It's in a nice park but that's about the most exciting part of the cache.
*The FTF prize is not very great.
*We will laugh at your essays.
*The view is not incredible.

This cache was not our own idea. So, are you up for the challenge? Can you really resist finding this cache? We don't think so. Go on, do NOT find this cache!!! We dare you :)

We all know that geocaching is an addiction. Now, to answer a few questions:
1) How many times a day do you log into geocaching.com?
2) Do you find yourself having trouble sleeping at night or dreaming about caches you want to find, or have already found?
3) Do you work the word "cache" into everyday conversations?
4) Have you gotten into trouble at work or at school for anything geocaching-related?
5) Are you constantly thinking about what GPS you're going to buy next?
6) Do you drive down the road wondering why there isn't a cache there?
7) Do you drive down the road wondering if you already found that cache?
8) When you hear the word muggle, do you immediately go into stealth mode, no matter where you are?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are addicted and need to come to a Meet & Eat to share your addiction with others!

Updated cache on 6/27/08 to a small container after the original regular was muggled. We'll see how this one does and possibly upgrade the size later. Bring your own pen & it will hold very small trade items.

Updated cache yet again on 9/7/08 after the second container was muggled. Moved cache to a new & hopefully less muggle-y area. Still a small and will hold small stuff. BYOP. If this gets muggled again, we'll really have to re-think this one.
