Geocache Description:

LJ parks is a series of caches that have been placed to assure that there is at least one cache in every named park in Lake Jackson. That's 22 parks. In the summer this park is very busy because of the outdoor pool. Stealth may be required.

Lake Jackson has had a Parks Dedication ordinance for years and as a result has over 1100 acres of parkland. When you divide that by the number of residents in Lake Jackson, the parkland per citizen is more than most cities in Texas. EAT YOUR HEART OUT HOUSTON!

Madge Griffith Park is an 8 acre park that contains the city's outdoor swimming pool, and 5 ball fields for T-ball and coaches pitch baseball. It is one of the original Lake Jackson Parks.

In 1972, the city named the park for Madge Griffith in honor of her many years of service to the youth of Lake Jackson as an educator and principal of Elizabet Ney Elementary school

Congratulations to Cobra98 for FTF!!

Welcome to the City of Enchantment!
