Cece created this cache as GC3BF9, but then disappeared from the
Geocaching scene. We tried to adopt the original listing, but
"forced" adoptions are no longer allowed. The only way forward
was to archive the original listing and submit a new one in its
place.
The coordinates on the original listing were bad from the
start and were never corrected. The original plastic container
broke down over the years and was only recently replaced by a
considerate finder. The coordinates listed now should be correct
according to JohnMac56 and Frog &
Polywog.
Since this is a new cache listing, the old logs from the
original cache do not automatically carry over. To preserve the
cache's find-history, previous finders are encouraged to copy your
log from the old cache and claim a find on this one. Please
back-date the find log to when you originally found it. Original
description below:
Cece's geocache is hidden on the side of a small hill on the
east side of the road - a fairly easy walk is required to find the
geocache. There's a series of knee-high stone walls on the side of
the hill - the geocache is hidden in one of them.
The geocache is hidden at 935' and has a killer view of the
desert and Ford Dry Lake to the north.
Happy hunting!
