Geocache Description:

Tring Reservoirs sit at the highest level of the Grand Union Canal and supply water for the canal. The four reservoirs, Wilstone, Tringford, Startops End and Marsworth attract all kinds of wildlife and are recognised as one of the best sites in the region for wintering wildfowl. A National Nature reserve since 1955, the reservoirs were redesignated a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1987. The reed beds hold breeding warblers and Reed Buntings in the summer. Autumn and spring migration can bring in some exciting birds making Tring Reservoirs worth a visit at any time of year. The area around the reservoirs is also rich in canal heritage with numerous locks and colourful narrow boats.

There are two pubs and a tearoom by the Startops Reservoir car park and other pubs in Marsworth village, Wilstone village and at Bulbourne. They all serve food and can be incorporated into this circular walk using footpaths round the reservoirs and canal towpaths.

The footpath here can be a bit muddy at times, even in the Summer. The GPS signal is a bit troublesome under the trees, however we think this one is easy enough, so no hint! You are looking for a 2L brown coloured container.
