Starting point is William Bay carpark (35°01.386S 117°14.146E). Take the path leading down to the beach... ...and have a rest. Sit on the bench at the end of the stairs (S35 01.432 E117 14.112) and enjoy the view of one of the prettiest (and kiddie safe) beaches in Australia. Then lean back, glance to the right and find your first (slightly cryptic minimalist) clue. You're on your way, and I promise that the rest of the clues will be better hidden!
If you've been unlucky enough to meet the high tide and you don't want to get your feet wet, there is an alternative path. Go back to the carpark and walk east to the overflow carpark. (It's only a few metres past the main carpark). There you will find a dry path to follow.
This installation has been done with the full blessing and assistance of the Park Administration, so let's show our appreciation by following the park rules. The First Rule: KEEP TO THE OFFICIAL PATHS! No need to bush-bash anyway, all the waypoints are clearly visible and accessible. Second Rule: No Dogs. (There are 1080 poison baits and snakes in the bush.)
And beware King Waves! Very infrequently and unpredictably a huge wave will rise out of nowhere and sweep with dangerous force over the slippery lower rocks. If you are clambering over the rocks this is bad news. Never turn your back on the sea!
The cache is a small clip-seal plastic box. Not much room for goodies.
Waypoint 3 seems to give the most trouble; it is in a very poor reception area. That's why waypoint 2 has a 'Bonus Clue'. Take note! And to further help, I might just mention waypoint 3 is not entirely dissimilar to waypoint 2...
Good hunting! cheers, 'roymerc'
