The REAL Welcome to Palmer Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Girl of the Limberlost: Road construction removed the sign this cache lived on. Who knows how the new road will look or where the sign might go. Maybe this cache will be reborn when the new road is complete.

Geocache Description:

This is the REAL Welcome to Palmer. A typical bison hide.

Welcome to Palmer--a friendly Alaskan town in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. Palmer is small and clean with lots of green spaces, nice folks, and unique businesses making a go of it.

Park at the Leo Lucas Substation at N61 35.517 W 149 07.269 and walk from there. The best approach to park is from the eastern side, but the turnoff is easy to miss. If you do miss it, just keep cruising and do a loop back.

You don't need to mess with the gardening to find the cache. When you're done logging the cache....visit downtown Palmer!
