You are not required to bring a dog along but if you have one it can run free while you find this cache.
The cache, a small Lock 'N Lock, is placed in the Rickman Run - Holmes Park Dog Run. From the dog run parking lot on the east side of 70th street, using the footbridge to cross the stream and marsh, you will have about a half mile round trip to the cache. DO NOT try to get to the cache from 70th street. This is a fine place to walk at any time of year with or without a dog. The birding is good here too. There's a lot of tall grass in the summer but you can used mowed paths and little side trails to reach the cache vicinity. Tree cover should not be a problem until you are right at the cache site. Please replace the cache as found. It's where you will think it is but the container should not be visible. The cache has room for small travel bugs.
