#3 in the series in this trail system. Feedback so far has been
great, so we hope you enjoy this installment too.
First things first, the caveats... Please respect the park rules
and refrain from entering on foot during the winter if the trails
are groomed for skiing.
During summer, skeeters are a big issue here; perhaps more than
normal as the area is heavily treed and in some places swampy.
Check out GC1D9BC
and GC1D9BR
for more details on the trail system and parking/access
options.
This one is hopefully a bit more difficult than the prior 2. The
cache is a well camoflaged large mini with Log/Pencil plus some
goodies. It has room for some fair sized trading items, but larger
hitchhikers/bugs may not fit.
No details on access trails this time. We'll leave it to you. No
major bushwhacking / charging through thorns & devil's club
will be required - Look for an easy route to the prize, even if
you've reached the shortest straightline from the main trails.
Since the skeeters are so bad here, we've included a bottle of
bug dope. Please:
1) Please leave the bottle for the next victims... err..
cachers.
2) It's a small bottle, but it's good stuff - a little dab'll do
ya.
3) Let us know via the website logs if it runs dry.
FTF Prize is a ready to hide micro - match container with log
& pencil.
-- Congratulations to Malcore on the FTF --
Note that for the time being, the HS parking lot is under
construction. Parking may still be available, but you will
need to access the trailhead from across the street.
The alternate location at the chalet is still available, but
requires a longer trek.
