To find the cache, one needs to hike the Wyggeston Trail. The Wyggeston Trail was named by Dr. Frank Preston after his boyhood school in England called Wyggy. This trail is blazed with ORANGE markers.

The northern trailhead can be accessed along Route 528 and Christley Road about 2-3 miles north of Route 422.

Parking Lot Location of northern trailhead:
N 40° 56.549'
W 80° 03.032'

At this trailhead, there is a loop trail of approximately 1.5 miles long. Off of this loop trail, the Wyggeston trail continues west then south. The cache is along the Wyggeston trail on the south of Christley Road.

One can also skip the trailhead and loop trail by driving west on Christley Road until you reach a gate. No traffic is permitted beyond the gate except for service vehicles.

Parking Lot Location of gate along Christley Road:
N 40° 56.514'
W 80° 03.316'

The Wyggeston Trail crosses Christley Road about a half mile beyond the gate at:
N 40° 56.600'
W 80° 03.785'

Watch carefully for the ORANGE blazed trail crossing the dirt and gravel road.

The cache coordinates are:
N 40° 56.464'
W 80° 03.722'

If you are feeling adventurous, follow Christley Road past the Wyggeston Trail and end up at the edge of Lake Arthur.

The stash is in a clear one-gallon container with a white lid that contains a logbook and some information on the local trails. Please be sure to sign your name, city and state and also email the condition.

The cache is hidden in an area with some very interesting stone foundations and walls. Take some time to explore the area. The hand built walls must go back at least a hundred years.

The southern trailhead can be accessed along Park Road near Route 528 and Route 422.

Parking Lot Location of southern trailhead:
N 40° 55.136'
W 80° 03.692'

Starting at the southern trailhead is a much longer hike to the cache but well worth the extra effort. The southern trail parallels Park Road for about a half mile, then starts north past an old reconditioned oil field. Stop at this oil field and look carefully at the rigs from the early 1900's.
