Geocache Description:

Burscough to Scarisbrick Canal is a branch of the Leeds Liverpool canal. If you turn right at the Blood Tub, you can continue your journey along the canal for another 4ml approx and enjoy another great walk. There are lots of pubs and eating houses along the way.

This used to be the Red Lion, but if you like your food hotter than the norm this is the place to stop. Please be very careful as this cache is on the roadside, with only a narrow footpath, and the road is very busy. You will see that they are making a new marina and opening up a further stretch of the canal so you will need to watch this space for some more of the same as this is the last one for now. As this cache went missing on the second day and had to be replaced could you please ensure that it goes back in the place it is now and not be seen from the steps. Thanks.
