Geocache Description:

Short walk on footpath from parking coordinates to Hoyland Lowe Stand.

Hoyland Lowe stand is the highest point in South Yorkshire. It was most likely built in the 18th Century and is thought to be a hunting lodge to the Marquis of Rockingham.

Start from recommended parking area in layby N53 30.220, W001 27.240. Cross the road and up the footpath to Hoyland Lowe Stand.

When cache was placed the footpath was overgrown but the cache area was clear.

The cache is a small cliplock container covered in brown tape, containing logbook, pencil, travel bug, geocoin, assorted swaps and cache box card.
