Geocache Description:

This cache can be counted towards the
GC1MV3M Fraternal Brotherhood - Grand Lodge Challenge

This should be an easy park and grab. BYOP.

This is our first of six caches Touring the Masonic Lodges of Maury County Tennessee.

The Masons are one of the most ancient and honorable fraternities in the world. Dating back to the building of King Solomon's Temple.

This is Columbia Lodge, Chartered in 1820. This is the Lodge James K Polk and Lucious J Polk were members of.

A little history of Columbia Lodge: The lodge hall was on the 3rd floor on the corner of 7th and Garden downtown until 1948 when the building burned.

The Lodge was then in front of what is now the Northway Shopping
center.

In 1962 the developer of the Northway Shopping center wanted the land for a parking lot and built the current building for the Columbia Masons in 1962.

Started this cache with a Masonic Coin, Eastern Star Ring, a Masonic button and a Travel Bug.
