Geocache Description:

Traditional cache

Launched on November 11, 1968, on a Saturn 1B rocket, Apollo 7 was the first manned mission of the Apollo program that would land Americans on the moon. Astronauts Schirra, Eisele, and Cunningham spent eleven days in Earth orbit testing the Apollo Command and Service Modules. The mission was a success and the next mission would be launched on a Saturn V rocket to orbit to the moon.
