The cache is in front of the power plant and across the street for the Historic Rambouillet Barn built in the early 1900's.
The undershot water wheel is a vertically-mounted water wheel that is rotated by water striking paddles or blades at the bottom of the wheel. The early settlers realized harnessing the waterflow into a pipeline in Parowan Canyon would provide a strong enough force and enough torque to turn the wheel and generate power for the fast growing settlment.
