This cache is located along the trail connecting King's Mountain State Park to King's Mountain National Park! This is King's Mountain State Park's 1st official geocache!
The cache is a mayonnaise jar filled with "cross" contents and a log, hidden by the TCBGrlz group from Tega Cay Baptist Church while they were camping at King's Mountain State Park for a final Book Chat meeting! Take the "King's Mountain Hiking Trail" close to the main parking lot near the lake and campground. Follow the blue marks on the trees and the signs for the trail heading towards the national park. Stay on the trail until you are 50-60 feet away from the cache! Please take extra care not to disturb the plant life nearby. You can also keep going and find your way to the national park (about 2-3 more miles) and do the geocache course located on the trail there! The park costs a few dollars to get into, but it is well worth the donation for the visit. You can also visit the living history farm! The park is open from 9am-5pm.
**Note: Due to the tree cover, the coordinates seem to be a bit off. Most people have found the cache 50-60 feet away. If you will mark the location when you find it and send me the coordinates, I will average all the points of interests I recieve and post the new coordinates! Thanks so much!
