Very short hike up a small hill to grab a little container painted to match the surroundings.
We spent the weekend up here caching, fishing and hiking around the lake. It was a wonderful weekend to spend outdoors due to the small crowds that know about this location. We were one of only three campers located around the lake during a regularly busy camping weekend.
If you make it to the lake and, are looking to catch some small trout… We noticed that fly fishing from a small pontoon, float tube or, row boat worked best. However, if you're bank fishing like we did. Any side of the lake, where rocks enter the water, seemed to be the best locations. We used night crawlers at the end of a small hook about 15 inches below a bobber. We didn't use any extra weight due to the fact that the fish where surfacing. With the worm so close to the top of the water, the two of us ended up catching about 5-10 fish per hour. We personally practiced catch and release, so all the fish should still be there for the next person to have some fun. Hope this info helps if you're trying.
