Geocache Description:

This Castle Dome is in the Santa Rita Mountains, not in the Kofa Mountains near Yuma.

There is more than one route to take to the top. There is no dedicated trail to the top. But you might run into a trail of use depending on your route of choice.
Don't try the road thru Greaterville, which is now private property and locked gates.

A possible route that would not require a 4x4, or high clearance, would be from Box Canyon FR62 starting at about N 31 47.746 and W 110 48.624. This would require a 2 mile bushwhack, one way, and about 2200 feet elevation gain. Sounds like fun! Yeah. Right. I have not tried this route and not really planning to. Not in June anyway.

Another route would be to take FR163 by Kentucky Camp then around Granite Mountain into Ophir Gulch and on up toward the towers. Might need a 4x4 or at least high clearance for this, depending on conditions.
There is a rocky road, classed as a 4x4 road, which goes up to a saddle just after passing the Enzenberg Canyon Road Junction on the way to the towers. I did not know about this road before I placed the cache. I hiked up from the Enzenberg Canyon Road. Not a bad hike but getting to the mentioned saddle would make for a shorter climb.

Just study the topos so you know where you are going and what you're getting into.

The first finder has the distinct privilege of getting first choice of any of the wonderful items I could scrape together to put in the container. Some really cool stuff!

Have a good climb.
