This is a beautiful and remote bay on the southwest side of the island. From the parking lot it is about a 30 minute hike to the Spanish bridge and oven that were built in the 19th century . North from the bridge along the bay was the site of a leper colony during Spanish colonial times. From yet earlier times there still exists the latte stones of an ancient Chamorro village that was located at the bay.
The Sella bay lookout has a great view of the bay and surrounding coastline. Climb to the top of the steps and see spectacular views of the mountain ridge on the east side, the southern mountain range, and of course the pristine Sella Bay. The thick foliage of the valleys lead one to wonder how many waterfalls are hidden from the view at this high vantage point.
This cache may whet your appetite for seeking to venture for the other cache Spanish Bridge at Sella Bay.
