Approach to the cache is from E. Third Avenue in San Mateo. It is located off the Bay Trail in the Tidal March Restoration Area. Parking is available at N 37.34.237 W 122.17.483.
This cache is located very close to some major power lines that pass along the bay. Often when I'm out here in the morning the moisture in the air causes the lines to snap, crackle and pop.
Walk to the cache from a newly constructed viewing platform. This is a great spot to view wildlife in the bay. Mounted binoculors are available. The cache is a micro so bring your own pen. Breezy conditions occur in the afternoon and evening, so bundle up.
