tjpart: This cache is wet most of the time. It shouldn't be rain, but it might have been from the sprinklers. It's time to move on.

Placed in cooperation with True West Magazine in conjunction with their Historic Towns Series.
W. E. Adams first came to Deadwood in 1877 and quickly recognized that it was better to mine the miners than to actually dig for gold himself. He had an Hardware store and a grocery store. He moved the business to the Adams Block and concentrated on the wholesale aspect. He bought the land across the street, built the museum and donated it to the city so all could enjoy. It's extensive collections are a cross-section of the early life and history of Deadwood and the northern Black Hills. By the way, you need your own pencil.
