Geocache Description:

The geocache is not at the posted coordinates although they are good for parking.

Trail directions. You are looking for a medium size lock'n'lock. Light bushwhacking: Oregon grape and salal branches encroaching on trail, long pants recommended. Actually, in this park I recommend rubber boots most of the year but for this geocache tennis shoes are usually OK.

Geocachers: Posted coords are for parking and trailhead. See additional waypoint for final coordinates or follow letterbox instructions.

For letterboxers, follow these instructions: From Renton on SE Petrovitsky Road, turn east (left) on SE 184th, go 1/4 mile to stop sign and turn left onto 172 nd SE. Go less than 1/4 mile and make a hard right on W. Lake Desire Drive SE. Go 2/3 mile until the road takes a 90 degree right turn, then turn around and come back 50 feet and park.

For BOTH Geocachers and Letterboxers: From just west of the gravel parking spot, take the trail heading north for 75 yards from the pavement to the junction where a trail T's in from the right. Turn left there and follow a social trail about 100-150 feet. The trail will start slightly down for a few steps and then go down more steeply. Don't go down there but instead look left for a big Redceder tree at least 3' in diameter about 30' away. Look in a fold in that tree that creates a long vertical slot on its east side. Please be careful not to step on the plants and leave more of a trail.
