Geocache Description:

Lt.Baddow Loop is a series of 6 caches placed along footpaths in the countryside near Little Baddow, Essex.

Parking is either side of the Ford at Hurrells Lane at approx. N51 44.180 E00 32.760

The entire loop is about 3 miles long, along well marked footpaths. It's a beautiful area, and popular with people fishing, walking and enjoying a range of rural pursuits, so some discretion may be needed from time to time. The walk is dog friendly, but please keep on leads where appropriate as there are horses and cows on route.

The Lt.Baddow Loop is best tackled in the following order(anti-clockwise):

The route is well used and fairly obvious. Click on the images below to see the entire loop with photos in Google Maps, or Google Earth if you have it installed. The 'GeocachingNetworkKML' is required to view cache locations in Google Earth (downloadable from "My Account").

#3 - Alice's Ghost

This cache is located on Grace's Walk. Graces was the home of Sir Henry Mildmay who married Alice Harris(1588-1615). After 6 years of marriage, Alice drowned herself in Sandon Brook near here because her husband "was unkind to her", and ever since her ghost has haunted the area.
