We intend this to be one in a series of caches remembering old pubs in Kent, all unfortunately now closed.
We visited the Mile Bush several times before it closed in 1999. A photo of the day it closed has been supplied by the Marden Historical group. If anyone else has any information or pictures please pass them on.
The co-ordinates above are for the pub and the clue to the cache location which is on a nearby footpath is below. The cache originally contains a log book and some pub related trinkets including a mini crib set and a Canadian Geocoin. Please re-hide carefully so it cannot be seen from the orchard behind.
The Cache co-ordinates are
N 51° 11.(A-1)A(B-2) E 000° 30.A(A+B)(A-1)
A and B can be found on the old pub where the post box number is TN12 AB
If anybody would like to expand the Kent Lost Pubs series please do, we would just ask that you let LVT know first so we can keep track of the Pub numbers and names, to avoid duplication. Please avoid pubs that have become restaurants.
