VERY kid friendly! Beautiful place with lots to see and do,
especially for the kids! Ducks and fish you can feed, sheep you can
pet, a little pot bellied pig, beautiful buildings and a great play
place for the little ones, as well! There is a restaurant in the
area if you're hungry.
Växbo mill was built in 1869 by Inpector Veng from Marma, who was a
co-owner in the company which ran the mill. The other owners were
farmers from Växbo. The mill has two pair of millstones which are
powered by turbines. The present turbine and most of the machinery
originate from the turn of the century in 1900. On the surface the
millhouse has kept it's original appearance. In the area is also a
home with barn and stables for the miller and a small brewery from
1891. Even the mill pond with its mirror like surface is an
important part of the history of the building. To find a complete
mill environment of this type is very uncommon.

får lära sig mer om vatten och hur det kan utnyttjas. Det finns
också får, änder och grisar och en restaurang om man blir
hungrig.
Växbo kvarn byggdes 1869 av inspektor Veng från Marma, som var
en av delägarna i det bolag som drev kvarnen. De andra ägarna var
bönder från Växbo. Kvarnen har två par kvarnstenar som drivs med
turbiner. De nuvarande turbinerna och det mesta av den maskinella
utrustningen hårstammar från sekelskiftet 1900. Utvändigt har
kvarnhuset däremot fått behålla sitt ursprungliga utseende. Till
miljön är också en liten mjölnarbostad med tillhörande ladugård och
stall, plus ett målteri från 1891. även kvarndammen med sin
vattenspegel är en viktig del av byggnadsminnet. Att hitta en
komplett kvarnmiljö av det här slaget är mycket ovanligt.
