Geocache Description:

A 0.3 litre camouflaged box hidden in Queens wood, Highgate. Access to the wood is 24/7 but probably not recommended at night. Very near several paths and free parking on road through the wood

Queens wood is fairly unique in being one of the last areas of the ancient woodland that covered Middlesex before the founding of London. Having been managed in victorian times it is now very much left alone with plenty of fallen trees and undergrowth to explore.
The paths through the wood are used by commuters heading up towards Highgate Station who can enjoy a brief moment of aboreal peace on their way to work.

The difficulty rating is high due to the problems of GPS reception in heavy woodland, but you are looking for an area where a mature tree near the path is surrounded by saplings.

Cache hidden on the feast of St. Hermogius.
