Hilsea Lines Multi-Cache
sao_9: In all honesty I am unable to maintain this cache and therefore I don't feel it is fair to leave this cache out in the field. As there are a few other caches which now celebrate this area I have decided to archive this cache. Thanks for those who have found this cache and hope you've enjoyed the area and the cache.

This is a multi-stage cache and will require the finder to gather information first and converting these clues into co-ordintes for the cache! Beware of muggles as there are lots about!
The Hilsea Lines are a line of 18th and 19th century fortifications built to protect the Northern approach to Portsea, an island of the coast of England containing the city of Portsmouth and its key naval base.
The island is separated from the mainland by a stretch of water similar to a moat. The first means of crossing this stretch of water was by stepping stones, followed by a single track built to allow the passage of pedestrians and horse drawn carts to have access to Portsea Island. A continuous bastioned trace was built between 1858 and 1864 with special fortified bridges for road and rail access. The lines are accessible for most of their length, but overgrown and derelict in places.
The given co-ordinates are not for the cache. These are for the car park and the start of the hunt for this cache. After you arrive you will need to head for - N50° 50.154 W001°04.284. Here you will find an information board which has a number of clues hiden amongst the text which will help you to eventually find the cache container!
