A corner of the Roma St Parklands, with a couple of interesting monuments of very different design, dedicated to very different conflicts of very different eras.
The older is a memorial to those who fought at the Siege of Tobruk from April 1941 to December 1941. And later became known and honoured as “The Rats of Tobruk”.
The later is The Australian Vietnamese War memorial, to commemorate and honour the Australian service personnel who served in Vietnam from 1962 to 1972.
