Geocache Description:

If you wish to trade, take ONE item. Leave something of EQUAL or GREATER value.
Cache owners fill caches with quality SWAG. We often find junk when returning for maintenance.

The geocache shown on this page is a part of the Allegheny GeoTrail (AGT), a publicly funded project designed to promote a pleasant and positive experience and image of the Allegheny National Forest region and its gateway communities. The AGT utilizes the growing interest in geocaching to assist both residents and visitors to the area in learning more about the unique attractions in the ten participating counties. This cache contains a unique self-inking rubber stamp, which you should use to stamp your Allegheny GeoTrail Passport to verify that you found it. When you have found a minimum of six AGT caches, you will be eligible to have your AGT passport validated and receive a commemorative AGT trackable geocoin at participating locations. You must have your official AGT passport with you when you find this cache in order to stamp it. Click on the Allegheny GeoTrail Logo below to visit the AGT website at ALLEGHENY GEO TRAIL for complete details and a listing of participating locations where you may pick up and validate AGT passports to receive your souvenir geocoin, trackable at

The listed coordinates are for parking in Punxsutawney, PA. Enjoy your journey through the area as you seek the coordinates for your final destination. All the groundhogs selected are within walking distance. Take a few moments to browse the quaint shops, dine in one of the local restauraunts, and see the unique places dotted along your route.
I had fun visiting the Weather Museum where I discovered some great weather toys.... a stick that predicts the weather and a stone that describes the weather! When I visited the Groundhog Zoo, I learned groundhogs have a natural insect repellent ... don't I wish! This borough (where did all the traffic come from?!) beackons for another visit.

Follow the route in order from A-R according to the listed coordinates.
Match the coordinates with the groundhogs displayed along the streets of Punxsutawney, PA.
Your 1st correct match will give you the 1st missing coordinate for the final location.
If groundhog A is found at location A, you have a match.
Use the number for your 1st coordinate. Otherwise, continue until you find a match.
There may be slight variations (due to repair, etc.) between the actual groundhog and the pictures.
If the groundhog is out for repair, use the information on the base.
If both groundhog and base (RARE) are missing, the Chamber of Commerce will assist you.
