Your GPS will place you within feet of this cache when you walk the path at Beard's Hollow. However, you'll have to reach the Summit to log your find. No special equipment required. Find the overgrown path and you're on your way.
I was introduced to this trail (and caves) on a youth group trip 25 years ago. Had to place a cache here to share this spot with fellow cachers.
If you approach from the Beard's Hollow parking lot, take a minute to read about the history of this area. As you approach the rock, look at the large tree at the summit and all the vegitation around this place... imagine the surf pounding this area. Amazing.
Find the overgrown path to reach the summit.
Once you're on top (Elevation 107 feet), no need to approach the edge. The cache is a safe, easy grab.

Tips that won't spoil the hunt: Bring a flashlight to the caves. If you visit the cache and caves during the rainy season... bring boots. In town to dig razor clams? You're set.
