Near a rest stop on U.S. Route 6. There's a very steep 30 foot bank to climb down and back up. With snow on the ground it's a real challenge, so I've change this to 2.5 terrain rating for now.
This is a .30 cal. ammo box. If possible, trade items that have significance to Pennsylvania's Route 6. This is another cache along Route 6 in Pennsylvania that helps us "enjoy the quaint main streets, historic sites, natural wonders, breathtaking vistas, forests, mountains and countryside," as described on www.paroute6.com. This cache is near a favorite trout pool on Pine creek, just off the old railroad bed. Take the fisherman's path. Do not attempt to make another path because of the erosion factor. The rest area is closed in the winter and the roads are not plowed in this park, so please be especially careful when parking on the berm when the ground is snow covered.
