Geocache Description:

This geocache is hidden in the old abandoned Mt. Union Yard of the East Broad Top Railroad.

This PopTop container is hidden near the old engine shop and water tank ruins. Most of the yard has been overtaken but trees and brush. If you explore deeper into the wooded area, you will still find old coal cars, boxcars, flatcars, etc. Most have trees growing up between them! Please park at the coords listed below. You will need to bring your own pen as the container is too small for one. Please be extremely careful while exploring the yard. This is private property and the owner does not mind folks exploring it. In fact, if you see him there, he may just educate you a little on the history of the railroad in Mt. Union. Caution: Since this is a rocky area you may encounter a snake once in a while. Be careful!
