Occasionally rough underfoot but generally good on forest tracks. Will be a bit muddy when wet.Suggested parking at N51.49.029 W002.29.647 (Top of Littledean Hill in Abbots Road).
From the road, the track is well signposted. The trig (unsurprisingly) is at the top near the start but is easily missed. The lake is also near the top of the hill and could easily be missed so don’t be afraid to explore. The walk can be as long as you like but can be found within half an hour and there are many ways back. Other caches are nearby. The trees you cannot miss, nor the views. This is predominantly a beech wood and a fantastic place to visit especially in the autumn when the leaves are thick on the ground.
The cache has been set when the trees are all in leaf but there is still a good signal so hopefully this should not be too difficult. There is no need to climb fences, or rocks. There are no stiles and to comply with the Forestry Commission request, the cache is not near the beeches or the rocks.
It is a small container within a camouflage bag containing the usual goodies .
