Brown Bridge Memorial Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

bream_rockmetteller: Well, this one had a nice long run. It is indeed missing. It's odd because the rock that serves as cammo is still in place but the cache is not behind it. Thinking that it might have moved out the other end of the hidey hole, I searched around the area but didn't find it. Since it's been three months since it's been found, there's no telling when it might have disappeared. I guess it's memory will live on with the old bridge.

Geocache Description:

Located along Brown Road near the bridge spanning the Touchet River. Plenty of space for parking on the shoulder of the road, little to no vehicle traffic.

Some evidence that the area is used for local social activities
in the evenings, so be sure to hide the cache as found

A tribute to the old Brown Road bridge

Here are a few photos of the bridge that was originally on this site. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any historical information about it. It was replaced in 2000 with the concrete span you see today. Although the new bridge is functionally superior, it lacks the charm of the original.

The cache is a 2-quart Lock-n-Lock containing a variety of fun items, the photos you see on this page, and the usual log book and pencil

The cache is not down by the river bed. There are a couple of fairly obvious locations. Nothing tricky about this hide... It's just enough so that non-cachers will not see it.
