Geocache Description:

Well I think they've 'archived' the thing. SIGH Oh Well it was a bug catching/ bug census taking thing. BUT the cache is still there!

I was walking down the dirt road at Pakim Pond and saw the THING there and since I hadn't been down that trail before I shlepped along and saw this site and thought: "HMM I could place a cache here." and so I did!

NOTE: The THING has come down for the summer!

The trail forks and you can get to it either way -- one takes you from the front, the other through the back.

Bug spray is a definite MUST in this area of the forest. If you have a hat/head net I would recommend using it.

The THING was a bug catcher that they had hanging as a way to gauge the bug population. I think they've moved it to parts unknown.
