Geocache Description:

This is the last of five caches in the River Walk series- all of which are hidden along the Chemung River.

This series of caches is placed along the often neglected and under-visited paths that run along and near the levees in the Town of Elmira. The clues found in River Walk #1- River Walk #4 will help you find this cache.

The posted coordinates are for the suggested parking area, which is about a mile and a half away from the cache. The coordinates for the actual cache are:
N 42° (River Walk #1 clue).(River Walk #2 clue)'
W 076° (River Walk #3 clue).(River Walk #4 clue)'
One side of the levee is all private property, there is no need to venture to this side to find any of the caches.

There is a lot of history along the Chemung River Trail and we would recommend taking a couple of minutes to read the posted sign located at the parking area before beginning your trek.

This cache is a small tupperware container with a log and some trade items. As mentioned above, these trails have been somewhat neglected so there is a fair amount of liter along the way. If you can, please bring a bag and pick up a few pieces along the way- the river thanks you.
