Geocache Description:


Buffelskop Conservancy

This cache was placed as part of The Cradle Caper, an event hosted in the Cradle of Humankind .

A short drive along a pleasant country road brings you to the Buffelskop Conservation Park. This 110ha area (1 ha = 10,000 m²) consists of a few large sub-divisions or small holdings. Recent real-estate advertisements highlight the value of property in this area - ZAR 7 million for 24ha including a house and a cottage. Driving slightly further along the road brings one to the entrance of what is intended to be a boutique hotel (permission pending). Let's hope that the development is done in a way that is sympathetic to the environment.

There is a parking spot at the cache location and there is reasonable cover from the road, but please be careful when retrieving and replacing the cache... 

The cache is a small round container containing a log book pencil and trade items.
