Geocache Description:

* * * The coordinates above will not lead you to the cache. * * *

The Chesapeake & Ohio 614 is a 4-8-4 steam locomotive built by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio, in June 1948 for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O). It’s stored in Port Clinton, Pennsylvania.

I’m a train buff of sorts, and what interest me particularly are the old locomotives. I’m fascinated by the big machines that eat coal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

So when I saw this on the landscape, I had the idea for a different way to locate a cache. Below is an icon that somewhat resembles a locomotive. It’s located in northeast Butler County. Your task is to find it.

Once you found it, you can proceed on a heading of 41° for 1 + 1/3 mile and look for a number (Y) and then on a heading of 14° for 1/3 mile and look for a number (Z).

Now that wasn’t so hard was it.

Okay, to find the final cache go to:.

N 39 (Y+6).995.

W 084 (Z+17).408.
