Geocache Description:

Take a stroll in the Civitan Park in Winnsboro. It is a good place to stretch and exercise. (Both physically and mentally.) It is also a good place to let the kids run wild for a while and vent the frustrations of being car bound.

There are two trails for one to wander. One trail makes a loop through the park. The second trail goes to the south to a playground and the Franklin Parish Veterans Memorial. Both about a half mile in total distance. Each trail is asphalt. Critters around the trail in the park are often treated with raw peanuts or corn.

I have had to spend many hours on these trails. As I walked, I decided this would be a good area for a cache. Since it is such an opportunity, why not spend some time working both body and mind. One may encounter many muggles at particular times of the day, especially if it is cool weather, early morning, or late afternoon.

I have encountered caches of this style in Mississippi. I have been told one will find many of this type in the Northeast area of Florida. (Cannot vouch for this observation as I have not cached Florida...yet.) Because of the coverage variations, I shot several sets of coordinates. My accuracy varied from 12 to 30 feet, depending on the time of day for the recording. These coordinates should get you close to the cache. You don't need to destroy vegetation or climb up anything to reach the cache.

The cache has only a log book. You will need to bring something to write with in the log.
