Terrain is flat and smooth. The cache is located within 40 feet of the cemetery's interior back road. No bushwhacking required. With luck and a sharp eye, you may find this one within a few minutes...depends on your caching experience. We hope its not too easy though!
This is the third cache that Parapro and I have placed in the Carthage area. We believe this cache will be just a little tougher than our first two.
Cache is larger than a pill bottle, and camo’ed for its location. No room for swag here. There is a pencil in the cache container. Place it back as found, thanks.
NOTE: You should not attempt to get this cache from US Highway 71. It’s too dangerous, as well as illegal, to park on the divided highway. You will have to make your way up into town. It’s just under a ½ mile south of historic Route 66 (Oak Street) to get to the cache.
This cache is located in Oak Hill Cemetery. Permission to place the cache here was granted by Mr. Moore, Director of The Ulmer Funeral Home, which oversees this property. As with all caches placed, please be respectful of the property.
