Geocache Description:

Teviot Valley Walkways - River & Town

Please reseal bag and container well.
Please replace where found.

Another great stroll in the Teviot Valley Walkway series.You will get some fabulous views of the Clutha River, views that are even more spectacular in the Autumn.

Obviously this walkway will be impossible when we get one of our 100 year floods (one of which we seem to get about every 10 years).

You can easily walk the length of this well formed and well signposted track in about 30 to 40 minutes, or you could run or mountain bike it in a much shorter time.

To complete the track you could start at:

S45 32.567
E169 19.187

and finish at:

S45 32.138
E169 18.560

Or vice versa, and find the cache on the way.
Alternatively, do an up-and-down (or a down-and-up) from one of the starting points.

The cache container is 500ml, round & screw capped, covered with black masking tape.
When originally placed it contained:

  • A stash note.
  • A small log book.
  • A pencil & sharpener.
  • A grass hopper toy.
  • A penny, George VI - 1938.
