Eugene Recreation is lending its support of an Geocaching Adventure (thus we are honoring them with the name)! Bostonmangum and Seal Rock George have asked Eugene if they would support this fun geocaching event, by donating space to meet at. This event is another way to get geocachers together to practice their GPS skills. This adventure will take geocachers of all skill levels to locations around town.
On August 9th at 9 AM the event will begin at the River House(above coordinates). This will be an opportunity to meet new geocachers or see old geocaching friends. You must sign in and out on the event logbook so that we know who is out there on the adventure course and can know when you have returned.
There will be 3 routes that people can choose from. There will be a route for those who choose to walk, one for those who want to ride a bike, and those who want a little bit of a challenge. All locations will require some work to get credit for the find. Then it is off to the next location.
This event will be a lot of fun and who knows there might be a Eugene Geocoin waiting for you upon completion of the tasks. So you may want to complete these tasks as quick as possible so that you can earn one of 225 geocoins.
Come ready to have fun and yes you will need your own GPS because there are only a few GPS units owned by the City that might be available for check out. (We are still determining this part.)
