Geocache Description:

Roadside cache in a small reststop at the North Whiteshell Transcanada trailhead.

Rennie is a sleeply little town that heats up in summer as it is the gateway to the Mid/North Whiteshell. While the Trans Canada trail is not quite finished through the Whiteshell, this cache is at a rest stop that defines the Rennie trailhead. We had driven by it many a time but stopped once for lunch and enjoyed the Rennie river nearby. Across the street is the Alf Hole Goose sanctuary which is worth a visit and also contains a cache.

This cache is a small container with a log book and pencils. While bigger than a micro only very small items may fit in the cache. Congrats to Devildawg on the FTF!

Update Aug 9, 2009. After a few DNF's I checked the cache. Evidence of a fire near the cache with familiar looking cache materials left in the fire meant it was probably used to help the festivities along.... I assume they didn't know the geocache was in there or they wouldn't have used it! The Cache is back; a bit bigger with a lower terrain and difficulty rating.

Update July 28, 2015. Third cache in the same location. Slightly more difficult but shouldn't be too hard to find. Please close container carefully and place back where hidden. Hint updated. Good hunting.
